Student Success Statement

                Student Success Statement

"Education is not a marathon--not a sprint."-Anonymous
My interpretation of my quote is, the author is attempting to express the importance of a constant pace within your education and the effort and time consumption that are attributed with your educational efforts. I believe education is valuable aspect with in the life of an individual. The author compares education to a marathon because education requires a constant pace and continuous effort, compared to that of a sprint which does not require a constant pace and when you sprint you are exerting all of your effort upon a small track. During a marathon you must exert a continuous amount of energy and maintain a constant pace, a marathon consumes time but compared to a sprint you have achieved a tremendous goal with in you life, therefore education can truly be equated to a marathon. Suppose a child is sprinting once has reached the ending point he has exerted all of his energy and has achieved a meager amount of distance, compared to that of a marathon which requires continuous effort but also the individual must sustain energy and therefore he or she can achieve a much more ambitious goal.

5 Tips That Will Assist You in the Preservation Of Your Motivation Tips 3-5

5 Tips that will assist you in the preservation of your motivation.
3. Select attainable goals
If you are having trouble writing a 25-page paper for your class because of the complexities, do not focus on the complexity. Organize your paper into different sections and work on each section individually. You can handle any project if you divide your project into different sections.
4. Find A Social Support Network
Create a group of individuals around you who will assist you with your assignments. Mentors can be teachers and family friends who can distribute guidance and assist you in the development of new skills. Counselors can assist you with planning your courses and the exploration of university courses. You can also receive help from your family and peers who motivate you by listening and sharing your ideas.

 5. Acknowledge Your Accomplishments
Compensate yourself once you have completed an assignment or task. Walk outside, view an email, or eat a snack. Then proceed toward your next project.

The Power Of Study Groups Part 4

         The Power Of Study Groups

                                                           Part 4

Extracting the most benefit from a session
Here are some tips to help your group extract the most benefit from a study session:
·       Decide what you are going to do in advance.
·       Prepare for a session, in order to benefit from your time as a group.
·       Distribute teaching duties in order to reinforce your knowledge.
·       Focus upon the session’s topic.

By supplementing your individual study with a study group, you can reinforce what you have learned, deepen your understanding of complex subjects, and even acquaint yourself with new individuals.
Remember that a person who is a friend encourages you to exhibit your maximum potential and achieve your goals, one who encourages you to attempt to try a complex and proper activity. If someone tries to corrupt you and attempts to ruin your life, then those are not friends, (they are actually your enemies), and you must avoid them. Whoever said learning cannot be enjoyable? Learning is enjoyable and enticing when you study with others.

7 Habits of highly Successful Children

7 Habits of Highly Successful Students Part 2
Habit 2: Begin with the end in Mind
If children are not clear about what they want to do in their lifetime, they may not be sure about their values, their goals, and their ideals. Help your child create their own proper objective which will serve as their template and through that template they will build a road that will act as their guide toward the decision making process.
“Keep your eyes on the price.” Determine your objectives and persevere until they have realized and achieved their objective. Then set another goal or objective that you would proceed to achieve.

Begin with the achievement of your particular objective and visualize then realize. Start by targeting your objective cerebrally: you have to know what you want to achieve.
One objective you must establish for yourself is the prize of an honorable graduation from high school- but you must receive your diploma honestly and with integrity.

Successful students 5-6

Successful Students 5-6
5. Do not sit in the back of the room. Successful students minimize classroom distractions that could interfere with learning.
Students want the best seat available for their entertainment dollars, but willingly select the worst seat for their educational dollars. Students that sit in the back cannot possibly be their professor’s associate.  Why do they expose themselves

In the temptations of inactive classroom experiences and distractions between them and their professors? Of course we all know they sit in the back of the classroom to seek anonymity both of which are antithetical to efficient and proper learning. If you are no trying to be part of the class then, why are you wasting your time? Stimulate your motivations, ask yourself is there anything better you would rather be associating yourself with?
6. ……..take proper notes. Successful students take proper notes that are legible and organized, Successful students review their notes quite often.
Why insert a topic into your notes you do not comprehend? Ask the questions that are necessary for your educational success. A proper review of your notes while you can still accurately remember the material will assist your memorization. The more you captivate in your mind during class will minimize review time. The whole purpose of taking notes

Is to revise what you have learned. The more you revise the more you improve your academic success and note taking skills.
